The principal character name is Katerina (Cat) who is
interpreted by Julia Stiles.
It talks about two sisters, one of them is one of the
most popular girls in the school (Bianca), two guys want to date really bad
with her (Cameron and Joey), but his dad has like a little trauma with the
pregnancy thing, he is a doctor, and every day at his job he sees a lot of
young ladies, teenagers, giving birth to a baby. So he put one condition for
her to go out, if her sister Kat goes out with some guy she can do it. Them
it´s when all the thing starts.
Then is the part when Patrick (Heath Ledger) comes in,
he… The guy, who intimidate to anyone, is payed to date with Cat. He´s furcated
to change some bad habits, for her.
Cat is a girl who you can admire, she´s a Smart girl,
who knew the right time to change her Friends, she´s Smart, she knows what she
wants. She is the prototype for the perfect girl. The girl who I would like to
be.
She loves to read classic literature; she always has
some reasonable argue when she doesn´t like something. She response without
violence, she response with her intelligence, she doesn´t care what the other
thinks, she knows what is right and when she knows it she does it, no matter
what.
Patrick… The typical bad boy, is everything that she
doesn´t want… He smokes, he doesn´t know what he wants… But she, accidentally
and unconsciously makes him change…
In this movie you can see that sometimes nothing is
what it seems, there´s more behind the faces that we see. There´s much more
that the stories that we hear… There are lies, pain, humiliation, love hidden
behind hate , more happiness that we expect, tears, loneliness and sometimes there is a big heart with both
arms open waiting for something good to happen, something that make it feel
alive again.
And sometimes when you find that person, that in
million years you expect to be whit her or him, you are happy, in a way that
you didn´t expect. Letting you be selfish, letting you be honest, giving you
freedom.
What I learn in this movie, is to wait the unexpected.
Be myself, because being myself I’m better, yes maybe there´s a million of
people who will hate me for it, but there will be at least one person who makes
me feel good… Yes, maybe it will not be like the movies, with the beautiful boy
who wait for you in a rain with music on his recorder, maybe it starts like
something weird, but that´s okay…
Also I learn that people hide the love behind hate.
Everyone is waiting being love. But
sometimes they´re scare.
